THE GALA AWARDS

The highlight of the 2020 Annual Awards Gala is the Awards. During this part of evening, we celebrate the achievements of notable Minority Business Enterprises and Corporations, putting a spotlight on companies who have risen to the top in their market, found ways to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in outreach and showed commitment to changing social injustice.

Corporations have the opportunity to recognize suppliers, service providers and business partners that have proven to be excellent suppliers to their organizations.

MBEs have the opportunity to recognize Corporations that have proven to be committed to Supplier Diversity and Economic Inclusion.

CORPORATE AWARDS

CORPORATE AWARDS TO BE PRESENTED

Corporation of the Year – Class I, II, II & IV

The Corporation of the Year is one that displays strong support for MBEs, and in most cases, has had a strong impact increasing procurement opportunities for the MBEs in Ohio.

Class I – Annual Sales less than $3 billion

Class II – Annual Sales between $3 billion and $11.9 billion

Class III – Annual Sales between $12 billion and $29.9 billion

Class IV – Annual Sales greater than or equal to $30 billion

Buyer of the Year

The Buyer of the Year is a professional in a purchasing role within a corporate member organization of the Ohio MSDC, and is characterized by outstanding and extraordinary efforts in developing minority business opportunities within their company.

Advocate of the Year
The Advocate of the Year is a team member of an Ohio MSDC corporate organization that has contributed to the expansion of minority business opportunities within the organization. Their extraordinary efforts and initiative to promote long term success for MBEs provides outstanding services to the Council, its goals, programs, and events.
